The beef was frozen into two-pound packages for delivery to member agencies of the Greater Chicago Depository on Thursday, Jan. 19. “In our society where millions of children go to bed without a nutritious meal, we believe that feeding our hungry neighbors is a moral and religious duty,” said Abdul Malik Mujahid, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago, a leading sponsor of the campaign spearheaded by DawaNet (www.chicagomuslims.com) Venue: Greater Chicago Food Depository 4100 West Ann Lurie Place Chicago, IL 60632 Time: 1 p.m. Date: 1/22/2007 NOTE: A press event will be held at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Monday, Jan. 22.
